MAILING LIST
ANNCBT maintains an email mailing list at the university of illinois at urbana-champaign,
where we distribute announcements about upcoming talks and related events. Most information should be available here (as well as on
our newsgroup), but the mailing list is our official means of distributing information, and may contain last-minutechanges not
available elsewhere. The mailing list also allows members to engage in group discussions (although it is used primarily to organize
meetings).
Note: the mailing list was, until recently, limited to university ofillinois at urbana-champaign students and
faculty only. Begining2/20/98, the list is being re-opened to the public, according to policies enumerated in the question & answer section.

NEWSGROUP
The newsgroup uiuc.cs.neural-nets is used for general ANNCBT announcements, but more importantly
for:
- material relevant to people outside our mailing list and regular attendees.
- discussions that might be considered
inappropriate for group email.
You should expect that:- some group members will never read the newsgroup.
- a
substantial number of people outside the group will be reading the newsgroup regularly.
