ANNCBT Official Seminar Information
Artificial Neural Networks and Computational Brain Theory Group
accredited 591 seminar
ANNCBT offers a seminar through the computer science and neuroscience departments. What follows is the official course announcement.
CS591/NEUR591/MCB519. Artificial Neural Networks and
Computational Brain Theory
Interdisciplinary graduate/faculty seminar addressing issues in neuroscience,
cognitive science, and distributed artificial intelligence, which concern the functional design of the nervous system and the construction of large-scale, biologically inspired artificial neural network systems.
Students will attend and participate in weekly meetings of the ANNCBT discussion group. Readings will vary from semester to semester according to individual interests.
Prerequisite: Graduate standing or consent of instructor. May be
repeated. Credit: 1 or 2 hours.
People always ask two questions: what background knowledge should I have
if I am interested in taking the course for credit? what's the difference
between taking the course for 1 or 2 hours credit? Answers to these
and other
questions can be found on the ANNCBT question and answer page.
